This is an extremely worrying and overwhelming time for everyone, in particular the vulnerable, those living alone who may be isolated, those who are elderly, and those with physical and mental health issues.

Taking care of your mind is equally as important as taking care of your body, especially during this Global Pandemic. With our mental and physical health being connected, if something is affecting one of them – it will result in impact onto the other. Many may feel emotions of anxiousness, anger, isolation, loneliness, sadness, and demotivation. You may feel concerned about your employment, finances, or your loved ones.

It is important to remind yourself – it is okay to feel like this way. Everyone reacts in a different manner and staying at home during this pandemic can be overwhelming. It is important to remember – this situation is will pass and is temporary. Your feelings are valid, and you do not have to go through this alone – support is always available.

The situation with Covid19 is rapidly changing, with regular government guidelines and advice being released on how best to stay safe and healthy during this time. We have put together a list of resources and some guidance which we hope will be useful, and a means of support. Please feel free to contact us on info@positivesmiles.co.uk if in need of assistance in the local area and unable to find support from the services below.

Free eLearning through the comfort of your own home!

Following government restrictions to limit the spread of the coronavirus, during the COVID19 pandemic and lockdown, at Positive Smiles we began our eLearning journey! Many courses are now available and taught through video conferencing. If you are struggling with getting online, using the computer or using Zoom etc, our tutors are available for 1-1 support, talking you through a step-by-step guide on how to continue your learning, develop new skills and make new friends online!

We have started to deliver the programmes remotely, with the intention to deliver face-to-face when safe to do so. Offering the blended learning opportunities where we combine online and face-to-face learning gives us all hope to look forward to resuming our learning and development in person, as well as gaining computer literacy and useful ‘online’ skills in the process.

Our aim is to continue to deliver all projects on Positive Smiles in a digital manner through video conferencing and telephone support. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic may be an unprecedented challenge to the delivery of our services; however, we have full confidence in delivering the bespoke support thoroughly needed for the community, both in the current crisis and beyond.
